Mmm, used the leftover holiday Honeybaked Ham to make split pea soup for dinner tonight. Tasty!

P.S. It would have been green split pea soup but 2 Safeway stores were out of green split peas. It tastes the same though :) .

Okay so you take some roma tomatoes, sliced mozzarella, and basil. Make a vinaigrette with lemon juice and olive oil, pour it all over, and this is what you get :-]

Steak tacos, pickled red onions, roasted jalapeno garlic tomato salsa, and some Tecates. All home made (except for the tortillas, chips, and brew of course).

On weekends I usually watch quite a few cooking shows on TV. The majority are on public television since I hate commercials and tend to love the underdogs who don’t have 800lb gorillas backing them up (i.e. Food Network).

I’ve been working on a page for my blog about “foodie” links since March 24, 2010, updating it with the names I wanted to blog about using a note, computer, or phone when I saw a show again or remembered someone later on. Today I finally got in the mood to clean it up and publish it. I hope you enjoy the mix of all of them and the rarity of some. I’ve made recipes or used knowledge gained from each of them and would highly recommend them all!

Here’s my list of who I think are the some of the best chefs in the world: http://www.tebo3.com/blog/master-chefs/

When I make updates to the page it can always be found on the menu of my blog at the top right under “Food” then “Master Chefs”.

I dusted off tha barbeque after its long winter hibernation and cooked a tasty grilled vegetables (green and red bell peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms), grilled sourdough bread with garlic, butter, olive oil, and Gorgonzola on it, and New York Steak dinner tonight. Mmm! I snapped a few pictures along the way, since its been so long since I left you (Mr. Barbeque).

Enjoy!

I’ve been wanting to try a potato soup recipe I saw a few years ago on a show called Scandinavian Cooking and finally got motivated to try it out last week.

I put smoked salmon on mine and salami on my non-fish loving lady’s dish. It’s easy to make and very versatile. Unfortunately my purple potato soup part wasn’t very purple… I tried making a swirl of purple soup on top of the white soup, but I guess I shouldn’t have put cream in that one. Oh well, it still tasted good and I’ll definitely be trying it again!

I love to watch food shows on T.V. and have been able to learn enough to cook with a little confidence :) .

Hows about some crab?
